Surprise Proposal on The Hoboken Waterfront

Andrew planned the perfect surprise proposal on the Hoboken Waterfront to Nikoletta last weekend! The sun was out, it was a crisp 60 degrees, and finally not raining. The weather cooperated with us… A New Jersey miracle!

Let’s start at the beginning! Nikoletta thought she and Andrew were just going into the city via the Hoboken Ferry for dinner. It was the perfect decoy because they live in Hoboken and often use the ferry, so nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Little did she know, I was at the pier, coordinating with everyone to make it seem like they missed the 6:02 pm ferry.

At 6:05 pm, Nikoletta, Andrew, their dog Benny, and Nikoletta’s sisters strolled down the 14th street pier. With the ferry conveniently missed, everyone headed down the pier for what Nikoletta thought was just a photo-op. But as the iPhone photos were being snapped, I popped out from my hiding place, Andrew got down on one knee, and Nikoletta said yes! The sunny NYC skyline behind them made for the perfect backdrop for this Hoboken Waterfront Proposal!

Andrew and Nikoletta’s sisters totally nailed the surprise! Nikoletta was absolutely blown away, she had no clue what was going on. It was the perfect plan, and Nikoletta didn’t suspect a thing!

After Andrew asked Nikoletta to marry him, we took photos with Nikoletta’s sisters and Benny before they back up to their apartment. Then, we took the most stunning engagement photos of Nikoletta and Andrew along the Hoboken waterfront. Check out some of their photos below!

Engagement Party at City Bistro

As we made our way back up the pier, we said our goodbyes—or so Nikoletta thought! Andrew had another surprise in store for her: an engagement party at City Bistro with all of their friends and family! The two of them headed up to their apartment, while I made my way over to City Bistro, where I was greeted by an excited crowd!

Nikoletta walked into the room and was totally shocked (again) – success! Everyone cheered for the newly engaged couple, and the night kicked off! Family members from afar and friends from childhood filled the room. Everyone was so excited to see each other and celebrate Nikoletta and Andrew!
