Fall Engagement Session at Natirar Park with Marykate and Peter
Some days are simply magical, and Marykate and Peter’s fall engagement session at Natirar Park was one of those days. They truly hit the weather jackpot! The cool, crisp air set the perfect tone, and while the sky was overcast for most of the shoot, the last 15 minutes treated us to a breathtaking golden glow. It was as if the sun decided to make a grand finale just for them.
This session was extra special because it took place on Peter’s birthday! (Yes, Peter spent his birthday in front of my camera, and I feel so honored.) His one request? To capture their engagement photos at their favorite park, Natirar, a place that holds so much meaning for them.
Peter proposed to Marykate at Natirar Park a few months ago! So it was fitting that they took their engagement photos here! After Peter proposed, they celebrated up the hill at Ninety Acres with their friends and family! Ninety Acres is beautiful and one of my favorite restaurants!
Gorgeous Fall Colors at Natirar Park
We began our session at the park level, where we had a fantastic view of the iconic Pendry Natirar Mansion. The vibrant fall leaves were the perfect backdrop, creating a painterly canvas that felt almost too good to be true.
Marykate and Peter’s session was at the end of October on a Tuesday evening and the leaves were still on the trees and there was hardly anyone in the park! It was perfect!
As we moved through the session, Marykate and Peter did a quick outfit change into their fancier clothes. They were SO prepared and even brought a full-length mirror! I thought that this was brilliant!
A Stunning View Worth the Climb
After their quick outfit change, I really put us to work (sorry again Marykate and Peter!) — we climbed a pretty steep hill for what felt like too long, but it led us to the most breathtaking view. The hill gave us a stunning panorama of Tewksbury and endless treetops blanketed in fall colors. The effort was so worth it. Between the autumnal hues, the brush swaying in the breeze, and that magical sunset glow, it felt like we were in a dream.
Marykate’s dress was the perfect complement to the natural surroundings, while Peter’s navy suede jacket added a touch of elegance that stood out beautifully against the fall tones. Together, they looked effortlessly chic and perfectly in sync with the background around them.
A Toast to Love (and Birthdays!)
To celebrate Peter’s birthday and the end of a successful engagement session, Marykate and Peter brought along a bottle of Bollinger Champagne to pop! It was the sweetest touch and the perfect way to wrap up their engagement shoot! The laughter, the cheers, and the sparkling champagne was the perfect way to celebrate!
Thankfully, the walk back down the hill was much easier than the climb up. As we strolled, we chatted about their upcoming July wedding at Morris County Golf Club! After spending the evening with these two, I know their wedding day is going to be just as fun, beautiful, and full of love! I can’t wait!!
