Joanna’s Bridal Shower at Dimora | New Jersey Bridal Shower Inspiration

Joanna’s Romantic and Chic Bridal Shower hosted at Dimora in Norwood New Jersey. Dimora’s upstairs space was completely transformed into a romantic, elevated setting that felt both modern and inviting. Joanna’s design leaned into a rich, palette of deep reds, soft pinks, and warm neutrals, creating a chic and elevated space that felt cohesive from the moment guests arrived.

Wedding Planner and Bride!

There are some clients who, over time, start to feel more like friends and I’m so lucky to say Joanna is absolutely one of them. We were first introduced when I photographed her engagement party last summer! Joanna works at Rebecca Grace Events and has an incredible eye for design, so when she reached out about capturing her bridal shower, I was so excited! Not only because I knew it would be beautiful, but because it meant I’d get to celebrate and capture another milestone alongside her!

A Romantic Bridal Shower Design in Norwood, New Jersey

Joanna’s Bridal Shower was hosted at Dimora in Norwood, New Jersey. Dimora is one of Joanna and Anthony’s favorite restaurants and one of their first date spots so it was only fitting to host the occasion here! Not only does Dimora serve delicious Italian food but it also has the perfect private event space upstairs!

As guests arrived, long tables were styled with crisp white linens and lined with black chairs, allowing the florals to truly stand out. Lush arrangements of roses and tulips ran down the center of each table, paired with glowing candlelight that added such a soft, intimate feel to the room. One of Joanna’s many talents is flower arrangements so I just knew the flowers were going to be beyond gorgeous!

One of the standout details was the bar moment. Stunning floral arrangement spilled from a silver coupe, paired with a custom “Cheers to Love” runner. It was one of those details that felt simple at first glance, but so thoughtfully executed.

As If the beautiful flower arrangements on the tables weren’t enough for Joanna to design, she also created the chicest custom-designed backdrop for photos. The entire installation was created and designed herself – layered ivory draping, sculptural shapes, bold red elements, and lush floral pillars that framed the space so beautifully. It felt editorial, romantic, and completely unique to her vision. Naturally, it became the focal point of the day, where guests gathered for photos, hugs, and so many meaningful moments.

Thoughtful and Interactive Guest Activities

Beyond the design, what made this bridal shower feel so special was the experience Joanna created for her guests. The afternoon was intentionally designed to feel relaxed and interactive. Guests created custom bracelets, arranged their own flower bouquets, sipped champagne, played games and enjoyed an incredible meal together. It never felt rushed, which allowed everyone to really be present and soak it all in.

Impactful Personal Details

Joanna is someone who truly thinks through every detail, and that was reflected in so many ways throughout the day. One of my favorite personal touches was the hand-painted figurine of their dog, Winston, that she created for the cake. Winston, the cake figurine, was front and center as Joanna and Anthony cut their cake to close out the shower! It was the perfect end to the most perfect afternoon!
