Morristown Engagement Session with Kelsey & Vinny
Kelsey and Vinny’s engagement session in Morristown was one for the books! From iconic local landmarks like The Morristown Green and Jockey Hollow Bar and Kitchen. To cozy, personal touches like pizza at Coniglios and one of their favorite homes in Morristown. This shoot had everything that makes engagement sessions so special. Not to mention, the crisp fall air and gorgeous golden hour light gave their photos a dreamy glow!
If you’re planning your own engagement session, take a cue from Kelsey and Vinny’s thoughtfully curated day!
A Stroll Through The Morristown Green
We kicked off the session with a walk by the iconic “Motown” sign—a must-see for anyone visiting Morristown. It’s such a fun way to celebrate the town that’s so close to Kelsey and Vinny’s hearts.
Next, we made our way to The Green, a historic park that’s as charming as it is picturesque. Since Kelsey and Vinny spend a lot of time there, it felt extra meaningful to incorporate it into their photos. The fall colors were in full effect, with vibrant oranges and reds making the perfect backdrop. Add in the soft glow of the setting sun, and it truly felt like we were in a romantic movie.
Pizza at Coniglio’s
From the park, we ventured to Coniglio’s, an Italian pizzeria that deserves all the rave reviews. Not only is the food amazing, but the restaurant’s vibe is warm and inviting. The staff went above and beyond to make this part of Kelsey and Vinny’s session unforgettable.
They surprised Kelsey and Vinny with three heart-shaped pizzas—and one of them even featured their wedding date, 8.22.25, written in ricotta. How sweet is that? It’s moments like these that make engagement shoots so unique and personal.
We sat outside as Kelsey and Vinny enjoyed their pizza. Kelsey even wrote their wedding date on one of the pizza boxes which added a cute touch!
The sourdough crust was next-level delicious (I might be slightly obsessed). Kelsey and Vinny were sweet enough to send me home with a pie—thank you!! Safe to say, I’ll be back at Coniglio’s ASAP!
While waiting for the pizzas, we took a quick detour across the street to an ivy and rose archway that Kelsey had scouted earlier. I loved how this little nook added a whimsical, romantic vibe to their session. Sometimes, the best spots are the unexpected ones!
A Stunning Architectural Backdrop
After pizza, Kelsey and Vinny switched into their fancier outfits, and we headed to a beautiful and sentimental location; Peter Dorne Architect’s office front. Ever since Kelsey and Vinny moved to Morristown they knew that they wanted to take their engagement photos in front of this home, and I can see why—it’s a masterpiece.
With its brick façade, arched windows, ivy-covered walls, and cobblestone driveway, the building radiates timeless elegance. To top it off, Peter himself left his gorgeous powder blue 1956 Corvette outside for us to use as part of the photos. Such a kind gesture and the car added a touch of bold sophistication to the shoot.
Sunset at Jockey Hollow
As the day wound down, we made our way to Jockey Hollow just in time to catch the sunset. The white marble at this location beautifully reflected the warm, golden light, creating an ethereal glow for their photos.
We wrapped up their session at the bar, where Kelsey and Vinny ordered their signature drinks—espresso martinis. The moody lighting and cozy vibe of the bar brought a fun, intimate close to their engagement shoot. After the photos were done, we stayed to chat and enjoy some drinks together. When clients become friends, these moments are my absolute favorite part of being a photographer!
Count to their Wedding Day at Hamilton Farm
Kelsey and Vinny, your love is contagious, and your engagement session was filled with so much joy and laughter. I can’t wait to capture more beautiful memories with you on your wedding day at Hamilton Farm next August!
