Beautiful Baptism at Holy Rosary Church

Getting Ready at Home

I recently photographed a beautiful baptism celebration at Holy Rosary Church, in Jersey City. The ceremony was followed by a fun reception at The Westmount Country Club where more friends and family came to celebrate!

The day kicked off at the Gaven’s home, where I had the joy of capturing candid shots of the family getting ready for the day. There’s something so special about these intimate moments – from the giggles of excitement to the tender embraces between family members. It’s these little details that truly make a photo come alive.

Theo, the oldest of the three siblings, also had his camera out, and the two of us were snapping away photos of his sister and brother, Isabella and Henry! It was adorable to watch how sweet he was with his younger siblings.

Baptismal Ceremony at Holy Rosary Church, Jersey City

Once we took family photos at the house, we made our way to Holy Rosary Church in Jersey City for the Baptism. As we stepped inside, I was immediately struck by the grandeur of the architecture and the soft, natural light streaming through the stained glass windows – pure magic for a photographer!

The ceremony was a beautiful blend of tradition and joy. As the ceremony unfolded, I discreetly captured the genuine emotions of the day – the proud smiles of Steph and Brian, and Henery and Isabella’s god parents.

Reception at Westmount Country Club

After the baptism, we continued the celebrations at the Westmount Country Club – a beautiful and bright venue! The open ballroom and elegant décor provided the perfect backdrop for some more formal portraits, as well as candid shots of guests mingling and enjoying the stunning cocktail hour.

The main attraction of the party was a balloon house provided by Balloomination! Different than a typical bounce house, this inflated balloon house spun balloons around for the kids to catch and play around. The most hilarious part was watching the static from the balloons catch in everyone’s hair making the kids look like Einstein!

One of my favorite details of the day was the gorgeous cake Steph’s sister, Michelle, also known as FlourbyMich, made for the day! She made a stunning white and blue vintage 3-tier cake with cute angels holding up the cake!

What a fun and beautiful day to celebrate Henery and Isabella! I’m so grateful for the opportunity to capture such a meaningful day. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do – being able to freeze time and preserve memories that will be cherished for years to come.
